PURPOSE: To reduce the relative dislocation of a control panel and a fluorescent screen panel caused when they are heated in measure to a very small value by forming each of fluorescent screen panel-supporting pieces out of a material having its expansion coefficient of value as close as possible to the thermal expansion coefficient of the control panel.
CONSTITUTION: Sealing glass is applied to the conjoining part of respective structural members, the respective structural members are stacked together upon a stage 11 on a basic stand 1 with a fluorescent screen panel 9 as one of the members positioned to form a lower side layer, and then a spring is urged to abut the end face of a control panel 8 against each of reference-supporting members 2 as well as abut the end face of the fluorescent screen panel 9 against each of fluorescent screen panel-supporting pieces 3. The respective structural members, with these stacked together upon the basic stand 1, are put into a heating furnace to be heated. The thermal expansion coefficient of the control panel 8 abutted against the reference-supporting members 2 has a value equal to or close to the thermal expansion coefficient of each of the supporting pieces 3 which are screwed respectively with the reference- supporting members 2 to support the end faces of the fluorescent screen panel 9 even if the sealing glass is allowed to stand in an atmosphere having such a temperature of about 430 degrees Centigrade that sealing glass may be sufficiently softened, so that the the relative dislocation of the control panel 8 and the fluorescent screen panel 9 can be reduced in measure to a very small value.
