The magnetic seal 33a of a double bearing reel is a mechanism arranged between a rotating spool shaft 16 and a boss part 6c to seal a gap between them and is equipped with a pair of magnetic retaining rings 34, a ring magnet 35 and a magnetic fluid 36. A pair of the magnetism retaining rings 34 are members which has outer peripheral parts arranged apart in an interval in the axial direction and installed at an interval to the spool shaft 16 fixed to the boss part 6c. The ring magnet 35 is a permanent magnet held by the magnetism retaining ring 34. The magnetic fluid 36 a fluid retained by the magnetism retaining ring 34 and closes a gap between the magnetism retaining ring and the spool shaft 16.
