Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a wire-shaped body to be sealed completely even if the surface is of a material hard to stick to a sealant.
SOLUTION: A piece of gauze soaked with an adhesive 22 such as the 353ND is applied at both sides vertically of an optical fiber tape 14 and also held down with a plate 20. Then, the peripheral part of the optical fiber tape 14 from the gauze 18 to the side wall of the case 10 is fixed with a sealant 16 such as the high-super 5 as done conventionally. As a result, the seal is fully maintained for a long time.
