To provide a sealing tool having a sealing member made of synthetic resin with consideration of environment, whose marks of alteration are easily visually confirmed and by which the shade of a print of seal such as a proof mark when sealing is made easy-to-see.
The sealing tool 10 is attached to a bolt for fixing a cover member with which an aperture part is covered in the main body of a taximeter having the aperture part and prevents a nut screwed and fit to the bolt from coming off. The sealing tool 10 is equipped with a sealing string 11 and the sealing member 12. The sealing member 12 is composed of synthetic resin and is equipped with a side surface 12c as a first surface provided with a pair of through-holes 15a and 15b through which the sealing string 11 is inserted. The sealing member 12 is provided with ruggedness obtained by forming fine stripe-state grooves continuing at equal intervals in the periphery direction of the side surface 12c at least around the through-holes 15a and 15b on the side surface 12c.
