To provide a method for manufacturing a seamless rod-shaped member constituted so that a jacket comprising a thermoplastic resin can be easily peeled from a rod-shaped foam comprising a thermosetting resin.

This manufacturing method for the seamless rod-shaped member comprises a process for allowing a first thermoplastic resin and a second thermoplastic resin to meet with each other in a die 16 and extruding them to form a cylindrical part, a process for molding the cylindrical part into a cylindrical jacket 12 while regulating the contour thereof by a sizing sleeve 18 to cool and solidify the jacket 12, a process for supplying the thermosetting resin into the cylindrical jacket 12 through a supply pipe 20, a process for pulling and transferring the main body part 46 of a rod-shaped member 48 after the thermosetting resin is cured along with the jacket 12 by the transfer device 70 arranged on the most downstream side and a process for cleaving the interface where the first and second thermoplastic resins for forming the cylindrical part of the jacket 12 meet with each other to extend longitudinally and peeling the cylindrical part from the rod-shaped member 48 to expose the main body part 46.
