PURPOSE: To increase storage cold heat and extend areas capable of storing cold heat by providing a cold heat regenerator in which a gaseous hydrate is placed, a heat transfer body which transfers winter cold air or old heat of snow to a gaseous hydrate, and a pressure application means for the cold heat regenerator.
CONSTITUTION: The cold heat of cooled air is transferred to a heat transfer body 3, such as a gravity liquid reflux type heat pipe from heat transfer fins 4, and the cold heat is transferred to a gaseous hydrate 2 from its submerged section. When the temperature of cooled air (open air temperature) drops below a melting point of the gaseous hydrate 2, the gaseous hydrate is solidified and the cold heat is stored in the gaseous hydrate (congelation) as a latent heat. The thus stored cold heat is stored up to summer time by an insulation wall of a cold heat regenerator 1, and used for indoor cooling, and low temperature warehouse by way of a cold heat take out device. A pressure control valve changes a partial pressure of a raw gas for the cold heat regenerator 1 under its control performance and is capable of setting temperature proper to the application of cold heat.
