Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw webbing by a motor auxiliary pretensioner device of a seat belt device with good timing without requiring special sensor and actuator.
SOLUTION: The webbing 11 of the seat belt is wound by normally rotating and driving a motor 17 of a retractor 16 when predicting a collision of a vehicle. When acceleration having more than a prescribed value is applied to the vehicle, the webbing 11 is locked to be undrawable from the retractor 16. When the acceleration of the vehicle is detected to be below the prescribed value by systems 19 to 23 having information on acceleration of the vehicle when avoiding the collision after increasing tension of the webbing 11 of the seat belt by normally rotating and driving the motor 17 of the retractor 16 by the collision prediction, locking of the retractor 16 is released to loose the webbing 11 by normally rotating and driving the motor 17 of the retractor 16.
