PURPOSE: To enhance productivity while stabilizing the quality of a cushion pad wan the cushion pad is covered with a seat cover by providing a seat cover mounting apparatus with a connection device bringing the connection member guided to a connection position by a connection member guide mechanism and a connection receiving material to a connected state by a connection metal fitting.

CONSTITUTION: The cylinder 108 of a first connection member guide mechanism 100 is operated to move a guide plate forwardly and the connection metal fitting clamped by a clamp piece 107 is guided to the position coming into contact with the connection receiving wire exposed to the groove part of a cushion pad 2. Next, a connection metal fitting holding device 30 is moved to the place above a position where the connection metal fitting of the right-hand part of a seat cover 1 and the connection receiving wire are brought to a contact state while a hogringer 36 falls and a support 95 is extended to the back surface part of the cushion pad 2 from below to come into contact with the lower part of the connection receiving wire. Subsequently, the connection metal fitting and the connection receiving wire are grasped through a C-ring by the hogringer 36 to be connected. In the same way, the connection metal fitting of the left-hand part of the seat cover and the connection receiving wire are grasped by a C-ring.
