Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a seat device which offers a driver a good feeling of sitting, on which he can tirelessly sit without being hard on his backbone, even when he has to sit for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: A thorax control mechanism 30 comprising an upper back control part 40 correspondently set with an upper back part 11, a hips control part 50 correspondently set with a lower back part 13 and a drive part 60, is mounted on a back frame 20. The upper back control part 40 comprises an upper part link member 41 pivotally supported as being able to swing around a horizontal upper back control and support shaft 45, and supports the upper back part 11 as being able to be tilted to take a thorax support posture. The hips control part 50 comprises a lower part link member 51 pivotally supported with the back frame 20 as being able to swing around a horizontal hips control and support shaft 55, and supports the lower back part 13 as being able to be tilted to take a solex support posture. The drive part 60 is equipped with a driving member for moving a control and drive shaft 31 which connects the upper part link member 41 and the lower part link member 51 with each other, backward and forward.
