Abstract:
To detect seating of a user on a toilet seat more stably.SOLUTION: A seating detection device is installed on a toilet seat device comprising a plurality of members including a toilet seat, and detects seating of a user on a toilet seat device on the basis of a change of an electric field between a first electrode and a second electrode. The first electrode is arranged on the toilet seat, and the second electrode is arranged on a member different from the toilet seat of the toilet seat device. When a voltage is applied to a space between the first and second electrodes, since the electric field is widely formed above the toilet seat, a range in which seating of the user on the toilet seat can be detected, becomes wide. Consequently, regardless of a way of seating of the user, it is possible to detect the seating of the user on the toilet seat more stably.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
