Abstract:
PURPOSE:To ensure sufficient supply of secondary air by dint of pulsation despite compact constitution by inducing the end of a secondary air supply pipe through a chamber or the like which is connected to the tail end of an exhaust pipe into said tail end part of the exhaust pipe to open therein. CONSTITUTION:The tail end part 2a of an exhaust pipe 2 is connected to a muffler 5 via a chamber 9. A secondary air supply pipe 11 is induced from a suction chamber 10 disposed between an air cleaner 7 and the lower side carburetor 8, is suspended downwards and has the lower extension part 11a passing through inside the chamber 9 to the end 11b which opens inside the tail end part 2a. A check valve 12 which checks the current toward an intake pipe 6 is disposed in said supply pipe 11. Exhaust gas is released from a cylinder 3 into the exhaust pipe 2 and pulsated in the cycle associated with revolution of an engine. According to the pulsated cycle, air which passed through the air cleaner 7 is breathed and discharged into the exhaust pipe 2 via said supply pipe 11.
