Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the withstand voltage of a main circuit device by alleviating the reduction in the secondary current when a current is interrupted by a chopper, thereby suppressing a noise. CONSTITUTION:When a discharging time constant by a capacitor 7 and a resistor 10 is set to the equivalent value to a chopper period T1, the capacitor 7 is largely discharged during the shortcircuiting period T2 of a chopper 4, and a capacitor voltage Vc becomes a low value. The secondary current IM is commutated to a diode 9 by the interruption of the chopper current IG, flowed to the capacitor 7 and the resistor 10, surge energy is absorbed by the capacitor 7, and discharged by the resistor 10. At this time, since the capacitor voltage Vc is low and the surge energy is absorbed, the decrease in the secondary current IM does not abruptly reduces, but smoothly reduces, and the surge voltage is not generated.
