Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the output of a secondary higher harmonic light by forming a reflex preventive film on the input and/or output part of a No.2 high-harmonic generating element of wave guide path type. CONSTITUTION:A reflex preventive film is formed at the input/output part of No.2 high-harmonic generating element, in which a thin film type wave-guide layer is formed on a base board. This SHG element is coated on its incident end-face with a reflex preventive film so that the transmission ratio of the fundamental laser beam becomes 100% substantially. The reason why this type of No.2 high-harmonic generating element is favorable, is because it can enhance the light incidence efficiency into the wave-guide path, or the emission efficiency therefrom, which enables as a result accomplishment of high output secondary higher harmonic generating element of high output.
