PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform an operation to release secondary lock of a hood lock device without the need for searching for a release lever of the secondary lock by touch through the gaps of a radiator grille and also without staining hands.

CONSTITUTION: An inner case 22 is provided in an outer case 21 fixed near a radiator grille 14 in such a manner that the case 22 is always urged in an advancing direction by a spring 26 so as to be movable in forward and rearward directions with certain stroke. An operation rod 23 is provided in the case 22 in such a manner that said rod is always urged in its retreating direction by a spring 28 so as to be movable in forward and rearward directions with certain stroke. The case 22 and a ratchet 6 of a hood lock device 12 are connected by a first wire 31 and the rod 23 and a catch lever 10 for secondary lock of the device 12 are connected by a second wire 32.
