To provide a security camera system for elevators capable of predicting a vibration produced in an elevator car which causes trouble to writing of imagery data to a hard disk of the security camera with high accuracy.

The security camera system 1 for elevators includes a sound collecting microphone 11 attached in an elevator car 7 to collect voices in the car when images taken by a security camera 8 attached in the elevator car 7 of a building are memorized temporarily in a flash memory 3 through an imagery data compression section 6 for writing and recording in a hard disk 5 via an imagery data writing section 4 and an vibration generation predictor 10 predicting the generation of vibration which causes trouble to writing of imagery data to the hard disk 5 from the images taken by the security camera 8 and the voices collected by the sound collecting microphone 11 so as to stop writing of the images into the hard disk 5 for the imagery data writing section 4.
