PURPOSE: To attempt a centralized control of locking and unlocking and crime prevention by installing communication ports to a signal processing section of a plurality of key housing boxes which lock and unlock with an electronic card and connecting a common signal line for free access to a center device.
CONSTITUTION: Every time when a electronic card is read and scanned and a key is taken out or returned, information about these related operations is transmitted to a center device from an individual key safekeeping device K by way of a shared signal line. Then, the center device 30 concentratedly controls the key safekeeping devices K. If something trouble happens in one of the device K, the device 30 gives an alarm and troubleshoots the case promptly. If it is necessary, an outside printer is installed to the device 30, thereby printing out information for the operation records. Moreover, it is acceptable to install a crime prevention system which is connected to a signal line L, thereby detecting the opening and closing of a window and giving an alarm for troubleshooting. This construction makes it possible to build up a communication network in conformity with a desired scope and control extended key safekeeping devices with a single center device by connecting its network to the shared communication line.
