To provide a security system capable of providing an appropriate security state.SOLUTION: A security system 100 causes a portable terminal 2 to function as a terminal for exit detection, and switches between an indoor security mode and a normal security mode on the basis of whether a communication connection of the portable terminal 2 is present or not. In the door security mode, the security system 100 determines whether an internal person has opened an opening part on the basis of a detection signal of a human-sensing detection terminal 1C installed on the inner side of each opening part, and suppresses the output of unnecessary announcement when an internal person has opened the opening part. The security system 100 immediately gives an announcement regardless of a processing mode when the presence of any one of detection terminals 1A, 1B, and 1C is not detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
