Abstract:
To easily calculate a sediment amount contained in water of a river in real time.
The sediment amount measuring device 10 comprises a water sampling tube 22, and an X-ray measuring section 30 for radiating X-rays to this tube to obtain radioscopy image. The radioscopy image is fed to a processing device 50, and a sediment amount calculating section 56 calculates a sediment amount based on the reduction of the transmitted X-ray amount. Specifically, particle size distribution and amount of suspension sand are calculated by a particle size distribution section 58 and a suspension sand amount section 60 based on local reduction of X-ray amount, and turbidity is measured based on the reduction of a background zone.
