Abstract:
To provide a sedimentation basin which has a sedimentation section and a filtration section and where the washing of a filter medium in the filtration section can be performed without using a pump and piping with a simple and inexpensive constitution.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: In a sedimentation basin having a sedimentation section and a filtration section, a treatment water discharge gate is closed when washing a filter medium, the filter medium in the filtration section is oscillated with a water flow caused by the aeration of an aeration section, and thereafter, the washing effluent of the filter medium is returned to the sedimentation section by opening the washing effluent discharge gate and the washing effluent is circulated between the sedimentation section and the filtration section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
