Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form a seed charging unit for MHD generator by providing an evaporator having 2-fluid spraying nozzle for finely pulverizing seed substance and spraying rare gas added with the seed substance from a nozzle at the end. CONSTITUTION:A seed charging unit of a closed cycle MHD generator system comprises a potassium evaporator 19 which contains 2-fluid spraying nozzle 18 for finely pulverizing the seed substance, and a spraying nozzle 20 at the end of the evaporator 19. Argon gas is flowed through a tank 21 and a heater 22 to the evaporator 29, the potassium is supplied from a tank 13 and argon gas is supplied from a tank 23 to the nozzle 18 which sprays into the evaporator 19 to spray the mixture from the nozzle 20 into rare gas work fluid 15 in a high temperature pipe 16 into a generator 6. Therefore, the time and space nonuniformity of the seed substance are eliminated to form a system having good performance.
