PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive and safe seed dust coating agent for paddy rice used in water-logged soil direct sowing cultivation, containing a peroxide and a substance having magnetism as active ingredients and capable of improving germination and establishment of paddy rice seeds even under bad environments and smoothly germinating and growing the seeds in the aforementioned cultivation.

CONSTITUTION: A dust coating agent for paddy rice seeds, obtained by blending (A) a peroxide, preferably calcium peroxide or magnesium peroxide with (B) a substances having magnetism, e.g. a metallic magnet such as alnico-based or Fe-Cr-Co-based magnet, oxide-based magnet such as magnetite, OP magnet, Ba ferrite or Sr ferrite, a rare earth-based magnet such as Y-Co, Sm-Co or Nd-Fe, preferably the oxide-based magnet, especially ferrite as active ingredients in amount of normally 0.005-500wt.%, preferably 0.01-10wt.% ingredient (B) based on the ingredient (A) and capable of improving germination ratio of paddy rice seeds in water-logged soil direct sowing cultivation and greatly contributing to stable production in the aforementioned cultivation.
