PURPOSE: To continuously and efficiently select and gather seed rice using only fresh water by carrying out the gravity selection to select the seed rice which is sucked and mixed with a water flow by utilizing jet flow, in the long water channel of a selection part.
CONSTITUTION: A flowing water such as the water of a water service is supplied to a mixing part 20 to generate a jet flow, which sucks the seed rice from the bottom part of a seed rice hopper 12 to be made into a mixed flow and discharged to the selection part 30. As the selection part 30 has such a long water passage that the light unhulled rice is floated on the water surface and the heavy unhulled rice is sunk, the light unhulled rice and the heavy unhulled rice are efficiently separated and gathered separately each other. Thus, the selecting action is continuously carried out with the jet flow so that the selecting action is efficiently carried out and generates no environmental pollution because fresh water such as the water of water service is used.
