To provide a segment assembling device used for a construction method for renewal of a head race, which can secure required strength even when applied to a large-diameter existing sewer, provide high strength, secure quality of execution, and enhance workability by enabling the reliable execution at a waterless site even during passage of water.
The segment assembling device is used for the construction method for the renewal of the head race, in which a segment piece 1a is assembled inside the existing sewer 2. A gripper 6, which serves as a fixing means for fixing a pipe jacking machine body 3 to the existing sewer 2, is provided in the machine body 3 which is brought into contact with the inside of the existing sewer 2 and equipped with a propulsion jack 5. An erector 7 for holding the segment piece 1a carried into the existing sewer 2 is disposed inside the machine body 3 so as to be freely turnable in a circumferential direction of the machine body 3.
