Abstract:

To provide a segment for a tunnel, which has satisfactory structural performance, while reducing labor and costs for tunnel construction.

The segment for the tunnel is made of fiber-reinforced concrete obtained by mixing 0.3% or more of fiber comprising steel fiber and organic fiber with respect to the total volume. The organic fiber mixed as the fiber has a rectangular sectional shape, and a length of 30-60 mm, in which the cross section area is within a range of 78×10-6 to 0.78 mm2. The segment contains the organic fiber like this, improving flexural toughness compared with the fiber whose whole volume is a metal fiber.
