Abstract:
To provide an easy-to-handle, easy-to-maintain robust sliding type seismic isolation base unit which allows a combination of respective elements to be changed freely, and allows an optimum friction coefficient to be selected easily.SOLUTION: A seismic isolation base unit 1 consists of a pair of sliding members 50 and 60 in which sliding sheets 54 and 64 are bundled by a removable binding band 70 in a state that they are opposed to each other. The sliding members 50 and 60 are of a sandwich structure sandwiching cushion sheets 52 and 62 by first support plates 51 and 61 or a protective sheet and second support plates 53 and 63, and the sliding sheets 54 and 64 are disposed on the outer surfaces of the second support plates 53 and 63. The binding band 70 bundles a part between the two cushion sheets 52 and 62 or a part between the second support plates 53 and 63, and the support plates 51 and 61 are fixed to the cushion sheets 52 and 62 with an adhesive tape 65 of low adhesive property, thereby facilitating disassembly and reassembly of each element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
