Title:
VEGITATION FOOT PROTECTION FISH NEST BLOCKS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3242197
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make foot protection blocks suitable to the functions of vegetation and fish nests by installing a vegetation soil housing hole which ranges from the top of a substantially angle-shaped skeleton to a downward part and forming a high strength concrete layer in the front of the flowing water direction and setting the surface of the rear part to a porous concrete block layer and installing a water nest hole which is directed at the internal part from the sides.
CONSTITUTION: A high strength concrete layer 1 is formed in the front of a vegetation foot protection block in the water-flow direction where a vegetation soil housing hole 4 is installed from the top of a substantially angle-shaped skeleton directed at a downward part. Then, the surface of the rear part is formed with a porous concrete layer and fish nest holes 3 are formed inwardly from the sides. This construction makes it possible to exert resistance against impact caused by earth and sand or the like flowing down from a river and provide durability and allow underwater bacteria, small animals and seaweeds or the like to be deposited on the nests or to live in. Furthermore, this construction enables fishes to live in the fish nest holes.
