PURPOSE: To perform simple and low-cost selection of plastic media by feeding the used plastic media to a plastic drum rotated as a result of the drum being charged with static electricity and attracting the plastic media and meanwhile dropping rubber burrs without attracting the rubber burrs.

CONSTITUTION: In the use of a selecting device 26, a rotating device 7 is first actuated to rotate a plastic drum 6. Used plastic media 15 are then charged in a hopper 14. Simultaneously, a flow rate regulating valve 17 is released and the spent plastic media 15 are dropped onto a plastic drum 6. In this case, since the plastic drum 6 is charged with static electricity by means of a staticelectricity generating brush 25, a plastic media main substance 22 is attracted to the plastic drum 6. Meanwhile, rubber burrs 19 are contained in a container 18 without attraction to the plastic drum 6. The plastic media main substance 22 is removed from the plastic drum 6 by means of a scraper 21 and contained in a container 23.
