Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a compsn. which cures to rubber, exhibiting properties such as low compression permanent set and unprimed adhesion to a variety of substrates.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. includes a silicone polymer curable by hydrosilylation reaction and a combination of adhesion promoters. The compsn. contg. an aluminum chelate and an epoxytrialkoxysilane is particularly useful when adhesion to a metallic substrate is desired. When the compsn. is desired to adhere to a plastic material, it is advantageous to include a tetraalkyltitanate, an alkylpolysilicate and an acrylate or methacrylate compd. besides the aluminum chelate and the epoxytrialkoxysilane.
