PURPOSE: To obtain a coated meterial member which possesses excellent catalysis to oxidation reaction and is useful for a murwave leading-in plate of a microwave oven, by a method wherein a coated surface contg. an oxidation catalyst and a heat-resistant binder is formed on a support made from a heat-resistant resin.
CONSTITUTION: Coated surface contg. an oxidation catalyst and a heat-resistant binder is formed on a support made from a heat-resistant resin. The support is prepd. by using heat-resistant reinforcing material such as mica, talc, calcium metasilicate, diatomaceous earth, carbon fiber, glass fiber, alumina fiber, silica fiber, graphite, or calcium carbonate. Examples of the oxidation catalyst are cpd. of titanium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, rare earth compounds, palladium, and platinum. Examples of the heat-resistant binder are phenolic resin, diallyl phthalate resin, epoxy resin, silicone resin, styrene resin, and fluorine plastic.
