Abstract:
To provide a self diagnosing apparatus of a display device for a vehicle capable of performing self diagnosis of a failure of the display device by a single body thereof.
When a self diagnosis switch 25 is turned on (Step S10), and any signal to display vehicle information is not input via an exclusive signal line or a serial communication line via the vehicle (Step S11), the mode is shifted to the self diagnosis mode to perform the self diagnosis of the display device D1 for the vehicle. A meter to perform the self diagnosis is selected by operating a trip switch 23 (Step S16). Self diagnosis of the selected meter is performed by operating an indicator unit of the selected meter from zero to the maximum position (Step S15).
