To provide a self-processing photographic film unit having an excellent productivity and a satisfactory excess processing liquid capturing ability of trap sections without impairing handling property.
The trap member 12 is formed so that its thickness is partially increased by strings 23a to 23c, on three sections at the center section and both end sections of a nonwoven fabric 21, by sewing and fixing strings 23a to 23c along the direction where a film unit is discharged. The string 23b is provided on an approximately center of the nonwoven fabric 21, while the strings 23a and 23c is respectively provided on both ends thereof with a space shorter than the entire length of the processing liquid extension roller 30 of a camera. Although a masking sheet 3 is pressed on the trap section 10, at the pressurizing time by the processing liquid extension roller 30 the trap section 10 is restrained from being battered, and the apprehended processing liquid is prevented form flowing backward, since the masking sheet 3 is firmly supported by the stings 23a to 23c. The trap section 10 being 0.75 mm thickness before photographing for instance, becomes thin being 0.45 mm thickness, excepting the sections of strings 23a to 23c, at the lapse of specified time after photographing, the film unit is restrained from being voluminous.
