To provide a technique capable of making a self-traveling electric wire inspection device to operate stably.SOLUTION: A self-traveling electric wire inspection device performing an inspection of an electric wire, while running along an overhead ground wire wired to iron towers, comprises: a running part capable of running on the overhead ground wire; a main body part arranged downstream of the running part; an arc-shaped arm coupled to the main body part so as to be relatively moved, and forming a bypass for moving the main body part so as to bypass each iron tower; a pair of hook mechanisms provided to both end sides while interposing an intermediate part in a length direction of the arm for hooking the arm to the overhead ground wire; and a bumper that is provided in an inner side of a radial direction of the arm, and suppresses a contact of the main body part to each iron tower by contacting to each iron core at a position separated from the arm to the inner side of the radial direction when the main body part moves along the arm. The bumper is connected to one end and the other end in the length direction of the arm, and extends from one end of the arm to the other end in a state of being separated from the arm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
