Title:
SELF-REGULATING SYSTEM OF HIGH-SPEED GROUND TRANSPORTATION BASED ON PERMANENT MAGNET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1169513
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a self-regulating system of high-speed ground transportation based on permanent magnet which is designated for magnetic levitation, stabilization and propulsion of a high-speed transporting car, without causing friction.

This system is provided with a magneto-dynamic levitation and stabilizing self-regulating system(MDLSS) and a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) connected functionally to and interacting with each other. MDLSS provides the levitation and stability of a car suspended in magnetic field produced by its own permanent magnets 32 to 35, while PMLSM produces propulsion force providing an assigned alternative velocity of the car along the designated track of a guideway by the interaction of the magnetic field of the car magnets with the current traveling wave in the stator winding powered by a current of constant frequency. Provided with a fixed guideway/stator, which moves together with the steel cores of MDLSS, the three-phase windings of PMLSM and the car permanent magnets of the levitator of MDLSS, and permanent magnets with the steel cores of the rotor of PMLSM as two main parts, each subsystem self-regulates and operates, without a high- speed response control system.
