Title:
SELF-RUNNING EXCAVATING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5854135
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable to perform a excavation of even a narrow ditch without the disturbance of an operator's visual observation, by a method wherein an earth and sand excavating and loading bucket is mounted to a mast, which can vertically move forward and backward in an advancing direction of a vehicle, so that it can move vertically and horizontally.

CONSTITUTION: An upper part 1a of a mast is vertically extensively attached to a lower part 1b of the mast which are horizontally movably mounted to the front of a self running vehicle. A lateral plate 4, which supports a hydraulic cylinder 3 for moving a support rod 5 in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the upper part 1a, is securely located. A roller 8, sliding over the mast 1, is situated to the mast 1 side at the lower end of the support rod 5, and an earth and sand excavating and loading bucket 6 is attached to the advancing side of the vehicle. This permits to perform an excavation and a dumping without the disturbance of an operator's visual observation and as he visually verifies an embedded object, and permits the reduction in a width of an excavated ditch, which results in suiting it to the excavation of a small-sized line.
