Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a relief circuit of a capacitor in a booster circuit like a charge pumping circuit.
SOLUTION: Capacitors C1, C2,..., Cn-1, Cn are connected to each stage via fuses F1A, F2A,..., F(n-1)A, FnA, respectively, and spare capacitors C11, C12 are connected to each stage via transistors RT1, RT2,..., RTn-1, RTn. Gate potentials of the transistors RT1, RT2,..., RTn-1, RTn are controlled to be low via a flip- flop and fuses F1B, F2B,..., F(n-1)B, FnB, and the transistors RT1, RT2,..., RTn-1, RTn are made nonconductive. When the capacitor C1 is imperfect, the fuses F1A and F1B are cut off, and the capacitor C1 is substituted by the spare capacitor C11.
