Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the change in an internal clock signal due to the potential change of a charge/discharge node by changing the internal clock signal by giving a current control signal from an amplifier for feeding back the potential at the node of a Tr to receive the current control signal and a resistor element to an internal clock signal generating circuit.
CONSTITUTION: When an internal clock signal intCLK has a higher frequency or a more advanced phase in comparison with that of an external clock signal extCLK, comparison signals UP and DOWN are made H by a phase comparator circuit 321. Then, a Tr 322d of a charge pump circuit 322 to receive this signal is turned to a non-conductive state, a Tr 322b is turned to a conductive state, an electric charge is pulled out of a charging/discharging node 322a, the potential at a node 323b is lowered through a loop filter 323c, and an input potential Vin at an input node 323da of an operational amplifier 323d is lowered. Then, the amplifier 323d increases a control signal Vp so that a feedback potential Vt is equal with the potential Vin. Besides, an (n) channel current control signal is settled down at the level where the current of a Tr 323fc is equal with the current of a Tr 323fb.
