Abstract:
To provide a semiconductor device that is able to improve contact stability and maintain the characteristic of a thin film transistor, and to provide a display device using this semiconductor device.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device comprises: a substrate 11 on which a first region 10-1, a second region 10-2, and a third region 10-3 are provided adjacent to one another in that order along a predetermined direction; first wiring provided in the first region, second region, and third region on the substrate; a semiconductor film 15 having a channel region 15a for a transistor Tr and low resistance regions 15b-1, 15b-2 provided between the channel region and the first region, the semiconductor film being provided between the first wiring and the substrate in the first region and being provided in contact with the first wiring in the second region; second wiring 17W provided closer to the substrate than to the semiconductor film and in contact with the first wiring in the third region; and an insulation film 14 provided between the first wiring in the first region and the semiconductor film. In the semiconductor film, the thickness of the low resistance region is less than the thickness of the second region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
