Title:
SEMICONDUCTOR INTEGRATED CIRCUIT AND METHOD OF DECODING SERIAL DATA-STREAM HAVING MODULATED PULSE WIDTH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08316995
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit and its method capable of reducing manufacturing cost and power consumption and preventing the interrupting processing of a microcontroller from being complicated, without sacrifying the operating speed at the time of decoding a serial data stream modulated by its pulse width. SOLUTION: The leading edge and trailing edge of a terminating pulse in a serial data stream modulated by its pulse width are counted by a clock-driven counter 24. The number of counts is read out by the microcontroller 40, how many cycles of a clock signal corresponds to the terminating pulse is judged, and the judged result is utilized for the decoding of the serial data stream.
