Abstract:

To provide a semiconductor laser module and a laser light source which have a spectrum line width having a single wavelength and a narrow band.

The semiconductor laser module is a combination of a semiconductor laser and a fiber grating having a reflection band narrower than a resonance wavelength interval determined by the element length of the semiconductor laser, and includes a first lens for converting light emitted from the semiconductor laser into collimated light, a second lens for optically coupling the collimated light to a fiber, and an optical material located on an optical axis between the first and second lenses and having a negative refractive index at the oscillation wavelength of the semiconductor laser.
