Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a semiconductor light-receiving device which can arbitrarily control a reflection factor of a light-receiving portion after a wafer process is completed. CONSTITUTION:An inclined reflection surface 22 is formed by machining an n<->-InP substrate 1 for forming an end-face incidence type light-reception element and reflecting the received light to a p<+>-InGaAs light-absorption layer 5 efficiently, thus enabling a reflection factor of a light-reception portion to be controlled arbitrarily by an end-face coating technology.
