Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive sensitivity measuring equipment for angular speed sensor which can measure sensitivity and response of angular speed sensor.
CONSTITUTION: A post 16 is erected on a base 14 and a plate member 20 is fixed to the post 16 with a rotary shaft 18. An angular speed sensor holder 22 is formed on the plate member 20 and an angular speed sensor 30 is held therein. A frequency generator 26 drives a voice coil 24 to rock the plate member 20 to describe an arch around the rotary shaft 18. A displacement sensor 28 is formed at a position separated by a distance L from the post 16 and vertical displacement of the plate member 20 is measured at that position. An angular speed to be provided to an angular speed sensor is then calculated based on the position of the displacement sensor 28 and the displacement of the plate member 20 thus measured. The angular speed thus calculated is compared with an output signal from the angular speed sensor 30 thus measuring sensitivity of the angular speed sensor 30.
