Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce influences by a distance change or an angular change in a sensor which sheds a light of a specific polarization component on an object and determines a glass based on a preservation degree of the polarization component of a regular reflection light.
SOLUTION: A light of a specific polarization direction of a light from a light-projecting element 4 is cast to a work 27 via a polarization filter 25. A reflection light of the light is separated and detected by a polarizing beam splitter 26. A photodetecting sensitivity for the reflection light having a polarization component in the same direction as that of the cast light is set to be relatively lower than that for the reflection light of the other polarization direction. Accordingly, influences by a distance change and an angular change can be reduced.
