Abstract:
To provide a sensor system capable of calculating the speed of a bicycle reliably and without a mistake.SOLUTION: A sensor system 1 for a bicycle 10 comprises: a magnetic field sensor; an acceleration sensor unit including at least one acceleration sensor; and an evaluation unit configured to detect signals from the magnetic field sensor and the acceleration sensor unit. The magnetic field sensor and the acceleration sensor unit are configured to attach to wheels 11a and 11b of the bicycle. The magnetic field sensor and the acceleration sensor unit are fixed relative to each other and are arranged at a predefined distance with respect to a rotation axis 100. The evaluation unit is configured to evaluate the signals of the magnetic field sensor and the acceleration sensor unit to calculate the rotational speed and/or orientation of the magnetic field sensor and/or the acceleration sensor unit with respect to the rotation axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
