PURPOSE: To ameliorate toner adhesion at a high temp. and to prevent the generation of a paper jam by compression molding a specific compd. to form the green compact of the separating pawl of a shape which is of a specific value or below in the inscribed circle diameter at the front end and calcining this green compact, thereby sharpening the edge of the pawl.

CONSTITUTION: The compd. consisting of 30 to 90wt.% polyimide resin and 70 to 10wt.% tetrafluoroethylene/perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer is compression molded to form the green compact of the separating pawl of the type which is ≤70μ in the inscribed circle diameter at the front end of the pawl and thereafter, the green compact is calcined. The polyimide resin is preferably an arom. polyimide resin and has preferably the molecular structure expressed by formula. Such polyimide resin is produced by bringing polymellitic anhydride and diaminodiphenyl ether into reaction. A known tetrafluoroethylene/ perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer is usable.
