Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable stable beneficiation always regardless of various factors of a raw ore, by using an aliphatic or an aromatic sulfonate collector alone or together with alkali silicate as an additive as a necessary condition for flotation.
CONSTITUTION: An aliphatic sulfonate such as alkyl sulfonate or an aromatic sulfonate such as alkyl benzene sulfonate is used as a collector and this collector is combined with an alkali silicate depressant to carry out flotation. In this case, by limiting the concentrations of the collector and the depressant, the pH and the temp. of pulp in a predetermined range respectively, the grade of a rare earth element in the froth can be improved to a large extent.
