In this separation device having a substrate S1 having channels 10a, 10b comprising grooves formed on the surface thereof, an injection hole 3 connected to the channel 10a, a substrate S2 having a channel 20a comprising a groove formed on the surface thereof, and a storage part 5b connected to the channel 20a, the substrate S1 surface and the substrate S2 surface are allowed to abut each other so that the channel 10a and the channel 20a cross each other. Resultantly, a liquid component of liquid flowing in the laminar state along the channel 10a, for example, plasma in blood, can be introduced into the channel 20a on the substrate S2, and a solid component in the liquid can be separated from the liquid component.
