Abstract:
To provide a separation membrane support body having excellent membrane formability and mechanical strength for supporting a separation membrane such as, a microfiltration membrane, an ultrafiltration membrane, nanofiltration membrane, and reverse osmosis membrane.
The separation membrane support body is formed by laminating long fiber nonwoven fabric composed of thermoplastic continuous filament. Preferably, the thermoplastic continuous filament is the conjugated type filament formed by disposing a low melting point polymer around a high melting point polymer with a melting point lower than that of the high melting point polymer by 10-140C.
