Title:
SEPARATION OF PEPTIDE ANTIBIOTICS K582M-A AND K582M-B
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59198990
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate peptide antibiotics K582M-A and K582M-B from their mixture, in high efficiency, by adsorbing the mixture with a porous polymer resin free of ion exchange group, and eluting the antibiotics separately with water having different pH.

CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution containing a mixture of peptide antibiotics K582M-A and K582M-B and obtained by the cultivation of metarhizium anisopliae (Metsch) Sorok. var. anisopliae 582 strain (FERM-P No.4217), is adjusted to about 9.5pH, and is made to contact with 300W500ml (based on 1g of the mixture) of a porous polymer resin free of ion exchange group to effect the adsorption of the mixture. The resin is treated with water of ≥5pH to collect the fraction containing K582M-B as main component, and the residue is treated with water of ≤5pH to collect the fraction containing K582M-A as main component.
