Title:
SEPARATION OF PROTEIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05222091
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a process for the separation of the components of a protein, especially the fractionation of albumin and γ-globulin, separation of agglomerated (aggregated) γ-globulin, etc., by a membrane-separation technique without causing the phase change.

CONSTITUTION: Protein component can be separated from mixed protein by filtering the protein with a silicate-based porous glass membrane having a pore size of 100-1,200 and produced by the phase-separation and extraction of a basic glass of the system expressed generally by the formula SiO2-B2O3- AxOy (A is one or more elements selected from Ca, Al, Na, K and Zr; x and y are positive integers of 1-10).
