Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable higher speed printing by improving circuit constitution for transmitting image data to a printing head to shorten a fire cycle.
SOLUTION: A CPU 51 emits a head trigger signal 65 at every fire cycle by using a timer to apply a drive pulse to a printing head 21 and generates interruption processing once per 8 for cycles to collect image data 59 corresponding to 8 fire cycles by interruption processing to output the same at a stroke. A gate array 53 receives the image data 59 corresponding to 8 fire cycles from the CPU 51 to latch all of them and the latched image data corresponding to 8 fire cycles are transmitted to a printing buffer 21 by one fire cycle in respective succeeding fire timings.
